Cyclone update: Leaves of Odisha government employees cancelled
Bhubaneswar (20/10/2024): In view of the possible cyclonic storm over Bay Of Bengal, the Odisha Government cancelled the leaves of all it's employees. Heavy to heavy rainfall is likely to occur in Odisha from October 23 to October 25.
The districts of Puri, Ganjam and Jagatsinghpur may witness heavy to heavy rainfall.
According to Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Deoranjan Kumar Singh, ODRAF and NDRF teams have been alerted.
Meeting with all district Collectors will be held tomorrow.
The Collectors will take stock of the preparations in their respective districts.
The SRC advised the people to stay alert and not to believe in rumours.
The fishermen had been advised not to venture into the sea till October 26.
