The Excel Cricket Academy inaugurated in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar(22/12/2024): In a grand ceremony held on Sunday, at Saint Joseph High School, Bhubaneswar, the Excel Cricket Academy was officially inaugurated.
This academy has been established to provide young cricket enthusiasts with a platform to showcase their skills and to promote sportsmanship. The academy is the brainchild of Kabita Suar, Srimant Suar, and Coach MD Azhad, who envisioned nurturing budding cricket talents and fostering a love for the sport. The inaugural ceremony marked the commencement of the "Excel Shield Cricket Tournament-2024," a week-long event featuring daily matches until December 29, 2024.
A total of 16 renowned Under-14 cricket teams will participate in this tournament.
The final match and the closing ceremony will be held on December 29, during which prizes, awards, and felicitations will be presented. Biswajit Barman, Joint Secretary, Odisha Human Rights Commission graced the occasion as chief guest while eminent journalist Sudarshan Chhotray, Officer, I&PR department TBT Ansari, Cricketer Sayed Tuffayel Ahmed, President, The Excel Cricket Academy Raghunath Rao attended the event as guests of honour. The ceremony began with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and unveiling of the academy's banner by the dignitaries.
The guests extended their best wishes to the academy and inspired participants with their motivational speeches. The event was beautifully hosted by Prasanta Kumar Pradhan, an eminent social activist, and Sushree Mohanty, a famous classical dancer and advocate. The Excel Cricket Academy aims to nurture young cricketing talents, provide them with a competitive platform, and instill in them the values of teamwork and sportsmanship.
