Key accused held in Pipili transgender murder case
Bhubaneswar (By Abhishek Mohanty): The main accused in the murder of a transgender individual near Cifa under Pipili police limits in Puri district has been taken into custody.
The arrest of the prime suspect, Chhabi Kandhi, was made 20 days after the crime.
He was caught while staying alone in a secluded area of the Ramachandi region.
Police had previously arrested two other suspects in the case and produced them before the court.
Transgender community had staged a massive protest seeking immediate arrest of those involved in the murder case.
