Police Commissioner issues Holi safety warning in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): Police Commissioner of Bhubaneswar- Cuttack  S. Dev Datta Singh on Tuesday urged citizens to celebrate Holi responsibly and avoid any actions that could lead to legal trouble.

Issuing what he described as a “mild warning,” the Commissioner advised people not to engage in activities that might result in them spending the festival at a police station.

To ensure public safety, police will conduct blocking and vehicle checking at 10 locations across the city. 

Special drives will be carried out to identify and apprehend individuals found driving or creating disturbances under the influence of alcohol.

The Commissioner also cautioned the public against bathing in rivers or ponds while intoxicated, emphasizing the importance of safety during the festivities.

Police authorities have appealed to residents to cooperate and celebrate Holi in a peaceful and responsible manner.
