Sandalwood Tree Planted at Sri Jagannath Temple Premises on Help Desk Closing Day

Balasore, 2/3 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): The Help Desk opened for this year’s matriculation examinees by the Alumni Association of Anchalik High School, Sahu, at the Sri Jagannath Temple premises in Badikia under Balasore Sadar Block concluded today. The assistance centre had been functioning since 19 February.

On this occasion, a closing ceremony was held under the chairmanship of President Jaladhar Samal. The programme was coordinated by Manmath Kumar Barik, while Sabyasachi Pradhan, chief member of the youth organization ‘Abhyudayam’ under the Parishad, delivered the introductory address.

Among others, Secretary Sudhakar Sethi, Joint Secretary Nabakumar Nayak, Sabitri Rani Das, Shubhashree Satapathy, Biswajit Samal, Jatin Mohanty, local social workers Thakur Charan Padhi and Bijay Kumar Das expressed their views. Parents present at the event, along with Saroj Behera and Manoj Kumar Barik of the Badikia Sri Jagannath Smruti Mandap Committee, appreciated the initiative and suggested that such efforts should be extended to various schools in the area.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Sabyasachi Satapathy.

The programme was managed by Jayashree Sahu, Shubhranshu Raut, Rahul Kumar Barik and Rashmi Ranjan Jena. On the occasion, a sandalwood tree was planted within the temple premises. Each student of the Matric Examination Batch 2025–26 was also presented with a commemorative oil portrait as a keepsake of their examination year.
