SEMINAR TITLED SETU – BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN PRESENT & FUTURE ORGANISED BY EASTERN INDIA REGIONAL COUNCIL OF ICSI
Kolkata 26/02/2024): ‘SETU – Bridging the Gap between Present & Future', a seminar was organised by the Eastern India Regional Council of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) at Kolkata on February 24, 2024. The participants appreciated the introduction of unorthodox theme and unique topics in the programme which are relevant to the profession. CA CS Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal, President, ICAI was the Guest of Honour.
CA Charanjot Singh Nanda, Vice-President of ICAI was also present during the inaugural session.
CS Sandip Kumar Kejriwal & CS Rupanjana De, Council members of ICSI spoke on the professional areas and challenges.
CS (Dr.) Mohit Shaw, Chairman, EIRC of the ICSI welcomed guests and introduced the theme.
CS Anju Saraswat, Vice Chairman were present during the seminar.
CS Soumya Sujit Mishra, Immediate Past Chairman, CS Santosh Kumar, Treasurer, CS Satish Kumar, Member, EIRC of ICSI were also present during the inaugural session of the seminar through virtual mode.

A special session was conducted by the Cyber Department of Kolkata Police on the topic of cyber security & threats. It was a star-studded event with resource persons from various walks of the Corporate world.
CA CS Ankit Agarwal, Partner – Add My Binn and Shark Tank India Fame, CS Sanjay Jain, Managing Director – TT Ltd.and Alkesh Agarwal, Co-Founder and CEO, ‘Re-feel’ highlighted the importance of compliance and role of Company Secretaries in the Business World. CA Vikash Goel, CS Amit Choraria and CMA Pranab Kr.Chakrabarty enlightened the participants on the topic of Valuation – Scope, Opportunities and Challenges. Dr.(h.c.) Mamta Binani, Past President – ICSI, discussed various minor and major nuances of SME IPO and the participants raised a number of queries faced by them at the professional front. The session Chairpersons were CS Anjan Kr Roy, CS Sandeep Lakhotia and CS Abhijit Dan.
The moderators for the event were CS Trina Nandi, CS Arpan Sengupta and CS Aishwarya Sharma.
Around 200 members, corporate executives and professionals participated in the seminar .
