BODY OF WOMAN FOUND ON DAYA RIVER BED IN BHUBANESWAR

Bhubaneswar(08/04/2024): The body of a woman was recovered from the Daya River bed under Dhauli police limits in Bhubaneswar on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Bhagya Dakua (19), a resident of Hinjlicut in Ganjam district.

She was residing at Sisupalgarh area on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.

A team from Dhauli Police Station reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Capital Hospital for post-mortem Hina Dakua, father of the deceased alleged, “Three months ago, a youth took my daughter along with him.

Yesterday evening, he was about to dispose of the body on the banks of Daya River when police caught him.

I was informed at around 4 AM.

That youth has killed my daughter." Police have detained three youths for interrogation.

All the detainees have been identified as the residents of Murshidabad in West Bengal.
