By-elections for 43 panchayats in Odisha on June 23

By-elections for 43 sarpanchs and 272 ward members of 43 panchayats of Odisha will be held on June 23.
Notices for the by-elections in blocks, panchayats and wards will be issued on May 22 at 10 am.
A letter issued by the Odisha State Election Commission stated that nominations will be filed from 11 am to 3 pm on May 26, 28, 29, 30 and 31.
Candidates for sarpanch from block offices and ward members will file their nominations at the panchayat office.
Following the scrutiny of nominations on June 2, the list of eligible candidates will be released.
The time for withdrawal of nominations has been fixed till 3 pm on June 4.
After that, the final list of candidates will be published at the panchayat office.
Voting will be held at the polling stations on June 23 from 7 am to 1 pm. The counting of votes will take place at the block offices from 8 am on June 24.
