Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has directed that the salaries for the current month of September

Bhubaneswar (By Abhishek Mohanty): For the upcoming Durga Puja festivities, all government employees in Odisha will receive their salaries in advance. 

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has directed that the salaries for the current month of September be paid on the 26.

While all state government employees normally receive their salaries on the last working day of the month, all state government offices will remain closed from September 27 for the Durga Puja holidays. 

During the festive season of Dussehra, various purchases are usually made, and this year the entire country is also celebrating the Savings Festival after the implementation of GST 2.0 reforms. 

Keeping this in view, the Chief Minister has directed that the salaries for the current month be disbursed by the 26th of this month.
