Death of Odia tourist in Pahalgam terror attack: Odisha CM announces Rs 20 lakh ex gratia

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday announced an ex gratia of Rs 20 lakh for the family of the Odia tourist who lost his life in the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
The Chief Minister said that the state government will provide a job to the wife of the deceased tourist, Prashant Satpathy from Balasore, and bear the expenses for his son's education.
This was announced by the CM after reaching Prashant's native village Ishani under Remuna block in Balasore district where he paid floral tributes to the departed soul.
Prashant was among the 26 tourists who were killed in the deadly firing incident in Pahalgam two days ago.
