Ensure that SOPs on closure of schools are strictly complied with: Odisha SME department to DEOs

Bhubaneswar (By Abhishek Mohanty): The Odisha School and Mass Education department on Thursday asked all the District Education Officers (DEOs) to ensure that the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on closure of schools in the light of the heatwave are strictly complied with.

The directive came after complaints were received by the department regarding violation of the SOPs by a few schools in the state. Letters in this regard have been issued to the DEOs.
The department has warned of action against the schools found violating the government order.
The state government had declared closure of schools from April 22.
