Minor girl 'molested' on Puri Bada Danda

Puri(By Abhishek Mohanty): A minor girl from West Bengal was allegedly molested by a youth at the Bada Danda (Grand Road) in Puri on Monday. 

The victim with her family was returning from the Srimandir after darshan of Lord Jagannath when the youth, who was in a drunk state, molested the minor girl.

Hearing the girl's screams, her family and locals ran after the accused and apprehended him. They beat him and filed a complaint at Singhadwara police station. 

According to information, a homeguard was approaching an auto driver for parking in the wrong place when the accused youth hurriedly sat inside the vehicle. The homeguard heard screams of the family and tried to nab him. Before he could react, they managed to nab the accused and started thrashing him for allegedly molesting their daughter. He rescued the accused and took him to the police station for questioning.
