Woman dies, husband critical after oil tanker rams into bike

Dhenkanal (By Abhishek Mohanty): Tension ran high at Anand Nagar Chhak under Sadar police limits in Dhenkanal district on Tuesday after a woman died while her husband sustained critical injuries after being run over by an oil tanker.

Fortunately, the 1.5-year-old child of the couple narrowly escaped the mishap.

The tanker ran over the bike from behind.

Following the accident, angry locals blocked National Highway 55, demanding compensation for the family of the deceased.
Owing to the road block, vehicles remained stranded on the busy stretch for several hours.
