Mock drill conducted in Bhubaneswar ahead of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas
Bhubaneswar(05/01/2025): A mock drill was conducted in Bhubaneswar on Sunday ahead of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) 2025, to ensure security and preparedness for the event.
The drill was held at Janata Maidan, where the event will take place, and involved various security agencies, including the Special Operations Group (SOG), Special Protection Group (SPG), Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), and Agni Shama, as well as the K9 squad. The mock drill aimed to simulate responses to potential security threats, such as terrorist attacks, and to test the preparedness of security personnel.
The drill was part of the overall security arrangements being put in place for the PBD 2025, which is expected to attract a large number of delegates, including foreign dignitaries and prominent Indian leaders. The 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention will be held from January 8 to 10, 2025, in Bhubaneswar.
