Odisha government should support journalists: Sambadika Milita Mancha

Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): Journalists are neglected and overlooked in many areas. One such example is Tapas Kumar Das, a well-known journalist from Bhubaneswar. He has exhausted all his family’s savings while undergoing treatment for a liver-related disease. 

With his wife and two children, he continues to battle the illness.

For over two decades, Tapas has worked in journalism, contributing to social welfare and public safety through his reporting. Today, he is helpless. 

Therefore, Lingaraj Sahoo, convenor of the Sambadika Milita Mancha (Journalists’ United Forum), has appealed to the state government’s Health Department, Information & Public Relations Department, as well as philanthropists, to come forward and extend their helping hands.
