ODISHA SRC DIRECTS COLLECTORS TO REPORT DAMAGES CAUSED BY THUNDERSTORM & LIGHTNING

Bhubaneswar(25/05/2023): Odisha Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Satyabrata Sahu on Thursday directed the district Collectors to report damages caused by thunderstorm and lightning in different parts of the state this afternoon. There are incidents of damage to power and falling of trees due to thunderstorm and lightning in different districts.

The SRC has asked the collectors to coordinate with DISCOMS for immediate power restoration.

The local fire services may be utilised for removal of uprooted trees and broken tree trunks. The Collectors have also been directed to report damages to houses and any casualties or injury, if any.
