PM MODI APPRECIATES ODISHA COUPLE FOR PROMOTING GOAT REARING

New Delhi (25/02/2024): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday appreciated a couple from Odisha for setting up Goat Bank and promoting goat rearing. The couple- Jayanti Mahapatra and her husband Biren Sahu-were working as management professionals in Bengaluru. Later, they decided to take a break and come to Salebhata village in Kalahandi district. In his Mann Ki Baat radio address, the Prime Minister said, "The couple established Manikastu Agro and started working with the farmers." Stating that women are flourishing in every sector today, the PM said, " After a few days on March 8, we will celebrate Women's Day.

This special day is an opportunity to salute the contributions of women's power in the developmental journey of the country.".
