Potato price rise: Food Supplies department raids markets in Cuttack & Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar(02/12/2024): The officials of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare department on Monday raided different markets selling potatoes in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. Raids were conducted at Chhatra Bazaar in Cuttack and Unit 4 Market in Bhubaneswar.

The department has received complaints that the traders are artificially inflating potato prices and warned action against the wrongdoers. Potatoes are being sold at Rs 50 at many places in the twin cities .
