Odisha witnesses above-normal rainfall

Bhubaneswar (By Abhishek Mohanty): 
Odisha has received above-normal rainfall, with 238.6 mm of rain recorded between March 1 and May 31. The state experienced 86% more than the normal rainfall of 128.6 mm. 
This excessive rainfall has affected 21 districts, with 7 districts receiving 20% more rainfall than normal and 2 districts experiencing normal rainfall.

According to the Meteorological Department, dry weather is likely to prevail across the state for the next seven days due to weak monsoon. 
The southwest monsoon made onset over Odisha on May 28.
