WODC CHAIRMAN REVIEWS DEVELOPMENTAL PROJECTS OF FOUR ODISHA DISTRICTS
Bhubaneswar(09/01/2024): Asit Tripathy, Chairman, Western Odisha Development Council (WODC) reviewed various developmental projects in 4 districts of Western Odisha.
Different Projects from Deogarh, Nuapada, Jharsuguda, and Subarnapur have reviewed.
The Council has been working to provide national level facilities to the people of Western Odisha.
Chairman of WODC informed that social and economic development will be possible if the basic infrastructure can be developed from district to panchayat level and maintenance of all infrastructures must also be ensured.
Today, a review meeting has been held in Kharavel Bhawan for 4 districts.
In the said meeting, the District Collectors of 4 districts participated through VC.
In the meeting, the Jharsuguda district administration has proposed to build an auditorium with a seating capacity of 400 people in Brajarajnagar.
Shri Tripathy directed to connect solar panels on the roof of the said auditorium and to build the entire auditorium on zero emission bases.
Two sites have been identified in Binka and Dunguripali blocks of Subarnapur district for construction of Crematorium.
A proposal has been made by the district administration to develop infrastructure like Puri Swargadwara at the said place.
In the said area, the chairman has ordered to improve sanitation system, water facility etc.
A grant of Rs 90 lakh each has been sanctioned for the development of both the places.
On the other hand, Tripathy focused on improving the stadium for the players of the district so he directed the District Collector to work towards the development of the ground of Tarva Mini Stadium.
An amount of 83 lakh 91 thousand rupees have been sanctioned for construction of library cum reading room for physically disable students in the district.
The construction of e-library in Deogarh district has been discussed with the District Collector.
The chairman has directed to build it as a district library.
On the other hand, after discussing with Nuapada District Collector, the council has sanctioned a financial grant for the construction of a town hall in Sinapali block.
In this meeting, Nuapada District Collector Hema Kanta Say, Deogarh Collector Somesh Kumar Upadhyay, Subarnapur Collector Bimalendu Ray, Jharsuguda Collector Aboli Sunil Naravane, Council's Technical consultant Sunil Kumar Naik and other officials were present in the meeting.
