XIM UNIVERSITY AWARDED SCHOLARSHIP TO 136 MERITORIOUS STUDENTS
Bhubaneswar(10/02/2024): XIM University successfully conducted its 4th Scholarship Awarding Ceremony for undergraduate students on Saturday. XIM University's undergraduate degree program boasts a globally aligned curriculum, encompassing a diverse range of courses that establish a solid foundation for students to realize their career aspirations.
Reflecting its commitment to excellence and quality, the university has instituted a Scholarship Programme specifically tailored to support academically outstanding students for their undergraduate studies.
These financial resources serve to empower students, providing them with the means to excel academically and lay the groundwork for successful careers. This year, the University was proud to offer scholarships to 136 students out of all the students enrolled in 10 undergraduate courses from 08 different schools.
The total value of scholarships offered was more than Rs 1.20 crore. The occasion was graced by two Members of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, Government of Odisha.
Prafulla Samal, Member of Odisha Legislative Assembly as the Chief Guest for the ceremony and said, "Odisha has become a technical education hub.
Now, students from outside are coming to our state to pursue higher education.
The XIM University should help the state government to increase the literacy rate in Odisha. Congratulating the meritorious students, Samal expressed that the mantra for success and a good life is to “Embrace Growth, Pursue Excellence and Lead with Integrity”.
Rudra Pratap Maharathy, Member of Odisha Legislative Assembly who graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour aptly stated that “Education is not preparation for life; Education is life itself.” He said that this scholarship awarding ceremony reflects the contribution of the XIM University in making the future of students strong.
In his message, Fr.Antony R.Uvari, S.J., Vice Chancellor, XIM University Bhubaneswar said, "The philosophy behind this awarding scholarship is to encourage the students to reach different heights.
We promote economically backward and SC/ST students keeping in mind that no body should be deprived of education due to lack of money." Among other distinguished personalities present were Fr.S.Antony Raj, S.J., Registrar, XIM University Bhubaneswar, Fr.V.Arokiyadass, S.J, Chief Finance Officer, XIM University Bhubaneswar and Chairperson of the UG Scholarship Committee, XIM University along with the Academic Deans, faculty, and staff members of the University.
The concluding vote of thanks by Fr.S.Antony Raj, S.J.acknowledged the collective efforts and commitment of the University in nurturing a supportive learning environment and ensuring equity in educational outcomes.
