XIM University's School of Governance and Public Affairs successfully hosts SAMPRAVAH’25
Bhubaneswar(28/02/2025): The School of Governance and Public Affairs (SGPA) at XIM University successfully hosted SAMPRAVAH’25, its flagship annual event, in collaboration with XUREAUCRATS and PRAXIS Forum.
Held from February 26 to February 28, 2025, the event brought together students, policymakers, and experts to engage in insightful discussions on governance, public policy, and leadership.
With a diverse array of competitions, policy simulations, and cultural showcases, SAMPRAVAH’25 fostered critical discourse, collaboration, and innovative problem-solving. DAY 2:Policy Simulation and Cultural Extravaganza. The second day commenced with NIRMAN, a dynamic youth policy forum where participants debated and formulated pragmatic solutions to pressing socio-economic issues.
The competition, focused on Inflation & Rising Cost of Living and Privatization of Public Sectors, provided a platform for rigorous policy deliberations.
The event was inaugurated with an eloquent address by the hosts, Aathmana VJ and Ushasi Basu, setting the stage for an engaging academic discourse.
This was followed by insightful speeches from Prof.Nisikant Nayak, Sipra Ram, and Parmila Satpathy. To facilitate in-depth discussions, NIRMAN was structured into two shifts.
Delegates represented 20 ministries and 6 opposition parties, engaging in extensive deliberations on contemporary government policies and schemes.
The policy simulation underscored the importance of youth engagement in governance, emphasizing analytical reasoning, negotiation, and leadership. The afternoon session transformed into a vibrant cultural showcase, SANGAM: Where Traditions Meet Innovation.
The event celebrated artistic fusion, blending traditional and contemporary expressions in a spectacular evening of performances.
The Voice of SANGAM – A solo singing competition highlighting musical diversity.
Dance Like No One’s Watching – A solo dance competition showcasing expressive artistry.
Team Up, Turn Up – A group dance competition exemplifying the spirit of unity in diversity. Each performance reflected a seamless confluence of heritage and modernity, underscoring the university’s commitment to cultural enrichment. DAY 3:Policy Negotiation and Grand Closing. The final day of SAMPRAVAH’25 was marked by the concluding rounds of NIRMAN, where policy resolutions were debated, negotiated, and voted upon.
Esteemed faculty members, including Prof.Sudha Mishra, Prof.Biranchi Narayan P.Panda, and Prof.Nisikant Nayak, led expert discussions on contemporary governance issues, fostering critical thinking and leadership among participants. The event culminated in a grand Award Felicitation and Closing Ceremony, held in the presence of V.Vijay Kumar, Dean of the School of Communication, who celebrated the outstanding contributions of participants.
Faculty members, students, and guests lauded SAMPRAVAH’25 for its role in shaping future policy leaders and bridging the gap between academia and policymaking.
