191 illegally constructed apartments & buildings in Bhubaneswar to be demolished

Bhubaneswar(27/08/2024): At least 191 illegally constructed apartments and buildings in Bhubaneswar will be demolished.

The Odisha government has ordered the demolition, and Housing and Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mohapatra informed that there are 491 cases in the Bhubaneswar Development Authority area, with 191 demolition orders issued. Similarly, 1444 cases have been registered against illegal construction and apartments under Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation limits.

Of the total number, 451 cases have been disposed while 993 are under trial, the Minister stated.
