BEDS IN GOVERNMENT HOSPITALS ACROSS ODISHA TO BE INCREASED

Bhubaneswar(11/11/2023): Beds in government hospitals across Odisha will be increased.

This was informed by Health Services Director Bijay Mohapatra on Saturday. Mohapatra said, "A total of 306 Primary Health Centres (PHCs) will be set up in the state.

Now, 1236 PHCs are functional in the state.

For providing 24-hour service each PHC will have six beds.

Similarly, each Community Health Centre will have 30 beds." Target has been set to have 300 beds at the district headquarters hospitals, he added.
