DR. IMRAN APPEALED FOR TOBACCO & PLASTIC FREE TOURISM
Bhubaneswar (21/09/2023): Dr.Muhammad Imran Ali, the Managing Director, Salaam Jeevan and well-known de-addiction activist has appealed to the tourists and visitors not to pollute the tourist places with gutkha pouches and other plastic stuff.
While visiting Konark, Dr.Imran has picked up the litter particularly the gutkha pouches and tried to clean up the surroundings of the heritage and appealed to the visitors with his video message to keep the sanctity of the place by keeping such tourist places clean from gutkha pouches and other plastic items.
The gutkha and pan chewers usually spite in open places that create dirty marks, said Dr.Imran.
India is leading in international forums including G20.
Foreign visitors are visiting our historic places and we must act responsively, Dr.Imran mentioned.
We must give a better impression to the world community by fighting the plastic menace.
The goveenment should also ensure strict checking up systems that will help no entry of such tobacco items and other plastic items inside any tourist place.
As a result of which, we can ensure a clean and plastic free environment in and around tourist places, Dr.Imran remarked.
