DYNAMISM, ATTITUDE, SKILL & KNOWLEDGE IMPORTANT TO BECOME SUCCESSFUL HR PROFESSIONAL: SPEAKERS AT KSHITIJ '23
Bhubaneswar(18/11/2023): Dynamism, attitude, skill and knowledge are important to become a successful HR professional, opined Speakers at Kshitij’23, the Annual HR Conclave of XIM University, organised by the School of Human Resource Management, XIM University (New Campus) and NHRDN Bhubaneswar Chapter, in association with XIMAHR, the functional committee of the School of Human Resource Management.
The conclave was held on the topic “Navigating the Business Dynamism: What Role Does HR Play?” on Saturday.
The event commenced with a welcome note by Dr.Mousumi Padhi, Associate Dean of the School of Human Resource Management, XIM University, followed by an opening address by Dr.Santanu Rath, Director, Odisha Urban Academy & President, NHRDN Bhubaneswar Chapter and an inaugural speech by Fr.S.Antony Raj S.J., Registrar, XIM University. The event proceeded with a Keynote Address by SV Nathan, Partner, Deloitte India, who focussed on navigating HR challenges through agility with dynamic initiative and current expertise to define effective HR professionalism.
This address built the base for the panel discussion with the statement, “Be Dynamic and Take the Initiative.” The event further observed the unveiling of HRXpert, the Annual magazine of the School of Human Resource Management, showcasing insights and achievements in the field of HR.
The event was conducted in three phases-Launch of HRXpert Magazine, Panel Discussion – Navigating the Business Dynamics: What role does HR play? and Case Study Competition. The panel discussed how changing businesses demand adaptability to dynamic roles, new technology, and cultures, integrating transformation seamlessly into performance management while addressing diverse individual needs and fostering a mindset shift for holistic transition.
This was followed by a Q&A session for the students of both batches.
The session proceeded with a case study competition that oversaw 1000+ participants from 30+ premier business schools, which unfolded in three intense rounds with 12 teams qualifying for the final round.
A showcase of strategic brilliance, it awarded 1.5 lakhs in cash prizes, elevating academic excellence and innovation in business education.
Team Eklavya from IMI, New Delhi, was declared the winner of this competition, while Team Da Vinci from SIBM Pune stood as the first runner-up and Team The Creatives from NMIMS, Mumbai as the second runner-up.
The session concluded that the future of HR success lies in understanding business intricacies while requiring agility in embracing technological advancements and changing job roles.
The ending note was delivered by Prem Singh, President, Group HR, JK Organisation & National President, NHRDN, who congratulated the winners and everyone who participated in the event and inspired the students to think differently and expand their horizons to add value to everything we do.
