Flood situation in Odisha under control: Revenue Minister

Bhubaneswar (10/09/2024): Odisha Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari reviewed the rainfall and flood situation in the state. After the review meeting held at the office of the Special Relief Commissioner in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday,the Minister said that the flood situation in the state is under control and adequate compensation will reach the people.

The Minister emphasized that 1700 people have been evacuated in Malkangiri district. The affected people will stay in relief camps until the water recedes.

Assessment of damage to houses and crops will be done and assistance will be provided accordingly.

The situation is expected to improve in two days, said Pujari.
