International Radio Fair in Bhubaneswar from February 13; over 3000 vintage radios, broadcasting equipment, Ham radios & Gramophones to be displayed

Bhubaneswar (08/02/2025): Bhubaneswar is going to witness 11th International Radio Fair.

Asia’s only Radio fair to be celebrated on February 13 and 14, 2025 at Bhanja Kala Mandap in Bhubaneswar.

Distinct Radio stations and broadcasters countrywide will be participating in this mega event.

Several organizations and broadcasters will be honored for excellence in broadcasting.

More than 3000 vintage radios, broadcasting equipment, Ham radios and Gramophones will be displayed at the fair.

Outreach is organizing this event every year to commemorate World Radio Day on February 13.

Ham Radios across different states of the country will participate in this fair.

Apart from this, many Community radio stations will also participate in the fair. Various competitions for school and college students will be held in the fair.

Students from school and college can showcase their talent in dance, song, drawing, report writing, Radio News Reading and debate competitions.

Top 3 contestants will be felicitated.

Students can register themselves online and on spot as well to participate in the competition. This year President of the Association of Community Radio Broadcasters(ACORAB) of Nepal Arjun Giri will attend the radio fair.

The function will also be attended by eminent people like Jeevan Lama of Kalinchok FM, Deepak Kumar Ghimire of Hazucko Radio and Saroj Raj Subedi of Tamakoshi FM and Pradeep Kafle of Radio Nepal. On this occasion, popular Singer Barnali Hota will be felicitated with Upendra Kumar Pahadsingh memorial award, while the retired programme executive of Akshvani Abhay Das will be honoured with Nadiya Bihari Memorial.

Radio Juhar of Keonjhar will be honoured for its Best use of radio in public service. Akshay Pattanaik of Bolgarh and Rajendra Sahu of Bhubaneswar will participate in the radio fair as radio collectors.

This was informed by Subhrat Kumar Pati, the organizer of the radio fair. Various cultural programmes will be presented every evening at the radio fair with the help of Odisha government’s Culture department.
