No Curfew in Balasore: District Administration Issues Nighttime Shop Closure Advisory Ahead of Diwali

The Balasore District Administration has issued an advisory to maintain peace and order during the upcoming Diwali festival. As per the directive, all shops and commercial establishments have been asked to remain closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. until October 21, 2025.
According to an official press release issued today, this measure aims to prevent unnecessary crowd gatherings at night and ensure a peaceful festive atmosphere across the town.
The administration has also clarified that no nighttime curfew has been imposed in Balasore district. Citizens have been urged not to believe or spread any false information or rumors regarding the matter and to cooperate with the authorities by following the official guidelines.
