No outdoor work after 1 pm: Odisha Labour Minister

Bhubaneswar(10/03/2025): Odisha Labour Minister Ganeshram Khuntia has directed that labourers should not be engaged in outdoor work after 1 pm due to the rising heatwave in the state.

The Minister said, "Labour Department is taking steps to create awareness among people about the heatwave.

If workers are forced to work in the scorching heat, action will be taken against the contractors and employers concerned, he added.
