ODISHA ASSEMBLY SPEAKER ELECTION ON SEPTEMBER 22

Bhubaneswar(16/09/2023): The Odisha Assembly Speaker election will be held on September 22. The election was earlier scheduled to be conducted on September 21.

It has been postponed by a day due to the Nuakhai festival, the agrarian event in the western region of the state. Earlier, the BJP had announced that it will boycott the election as it coincided with the Nuakhai festival.
