ODISHA CABINET APPROVES 19 KEY PROPOSALS
Bhubaneswar(15/09/2023): The 64th meeting of Odisha Cabinet held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday. At the outset Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena and Development Commissioner -cum ACS Smt Anu Garg briefed the media about the proposals.
A total 19 Agenda of 10 departments were presented and all have been approved in the Cabinet. The State Cabinet approved Location Accessible Multi-Modal Initiative (LAccMI) to establish seamless, affordable and reliable public transport network across the state from gram panchayat level to state capital. The Cabinet also decided to abolish all 35 toll gates on Works and RD department roads being operated by the Odisha Bridge & Construction Corporation (O.B & C.C.) Limited. Besides, a scheme "Improvement to Tanks and MIPs of DoWR" for a period of three years (from 2023-24 to 2025-26 with an outlay of Rs 248 crore for revival of lost ayacut of approximately 16,400 ha.
