SENSITIZATION PROGRAMME FOR UNORGANISED WORKERS ORGANISED BY KHORDHA DISTRICT LABOUR OFFICE
Bhubaneswar (15/09/2023): A sensitization programme focused to 50 categories of unorganized workers organized by district labour office, Khordha in collaboration with Center for Child and Women Development (CCWD) & Action Aid Association on Friday at Redcross Bhawan, Bhubaneswar. Attending as chief guest, Chairperson of Odisha Building and other Construction Workers' Welfare Board Srimayee Sweta Snigdha Mishra said that unorganized workers should aware about registration and benefits for the protection of social security measures.
Attending as guest of honour, Additional Labour Commissioner Neelamber Mishal shared the registration facilities and benefits to the august gathering.
Among others Sadasiv Swain, Secretary of CCWD, Debabrat Patra, Associate Director, Action Aid Association B.N Durga , M/E Manager, Action Aid Association, Education Officer Basanta Patra Shared their thoughts and views. On this occasion Assistant Labour officer Soumya Ranjita Dalei presented the activities of Odisha Unorganised Workers' Social Security Board.
Divisional Labour Commissioner Pranab Kumar Patra presided over the programme.
In this programme Assistant Labour Officer Prabhakar Biswal, Rasmita Kumari Patra, Kaliputra Kuldip Prasad, Welfare Coordinator Lambodar Rout & Sanghamitra Sahoo and more than 140 unorganised worker from different slum pockets attended. As many as 28 unorganised workers received registration Certificates from Chief Guest.
Lastly Assistant Labour officer Peepasa Mohapatra proposed a warm vote of thanks to all.
