OPIUM PLANTS OF OVER RS 10 CRORE DESTROYED IN SIMILIPAL
Karanjia (23/03/2024): Opium plants worth Rs 10 crore and 50 lakh were destroyed in Similipal forest range of Mayurbhanj district. Following information about the illegal plantation, excise officials uprooted the opium plants and set them ablaze near Sarada village in presence of Karanjia tehsildar. This was the fourth raid carried out in Similipal to destroy the illegal plantation.
