Shilpa Shetty's viral video incident inside Lingaraj Temple raises security concerns
Bhubaneswar (29/10/2024): A video of Bollywood celebrity Shilpa Shetty's visit to Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar has gone viral on social media platforms. The incident has raised questions about the temple's security. Shilpa Shetty had visited the temple yesterday soon after she attended the inauguration of a jewellery shop in the city. Reacting over the incident, Ekamra MLA Babu Singh said, "The servitors should have made Shilpa Shetty aware about the restrictions imposed on taking photographs inside the shrine.
Action should be taken against those involved in the incident." The images shared by the celebrity showed her standing inside the shrine and conversing with Rajkishore, the head servitor, who was sharing insights on the history of the temple.
People across Odisha have raised questions about how these photos and videos were taken in the areas where photography is typically prohibited without prior permission from the temple administration .
