SNEH organises program to raise awareness among members of legal fraternity about uniqueness & benefits of Restorative Justice
Bhubaneswar (17/11/2024): Society for Nature, Education, and Health (SNEH) organized a one-day workshop on Restorative Justice on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at SAMPRITI, the organization's peace training-cum-resource and research center in Bhubaneswar.
The Program was inaugurated by SNEH’s President Subarna Ghosh.
A diverse audience of 25 members of legal fraternity attended the training program, including advocates and paralegal volunteers.
The participants engaged in practical demonstration of the Restorative Justice process through role-plays, emphasizing the effectiveness of restorative circles in fostering community relationships and harmony.
The program provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of Restorative Justice and equipped them with the practical skills to address conflicts in their communities.
An open session facilitated by Subas Panda, Consultant, SNEH held discussions on various aspects of Restorative Justice and its integration into the existing justice delivery system.
The program, supported by the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC), Kolkata, aimed to raise awareness among members of legal fraternity about the uniqueness and benefits of Restorative Justice.
