Temperature to rise by 2 to 4 degrees in Odisha
Bhubaneswar(05/04/2025): The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday predicted that temperature is likely to rise in Odisha in the coming days. The IMD has also issued a yellow warning for thunderstorm activities in some districts of the state.
Thunderstorm activities are likely to continue till April 12, 2025. Day 1 (Valid upto 0830 hrs IST of 06.04.2025)-Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Gajpati, Ganjam. Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 07.04.2025 to 0830 hrs IST of 08.04.2025):Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada. Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 08.04.2025 to 0830 hrs IST of 09.04.2025)-Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh. Day 5 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 09.04.2025 to 0830 hrs IST of 10.04.2025)-Thunderstorm with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajpati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh.
