LOW PRESSURE AREA FORMS OVER BAY OF BENGAL
Bhubaneswar (22/05/2024): A low pressure area has formed over Southwest adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal off north Tamil Nadu- South Andhra Pradesh coasts. The system is very likely to concentrate into a depression over the central parts of Bay of Bengal on May 24.
It is likely to move northeastwards and intensify further thereafter. Under its influence, several parts of Odisha may experience heavy rainfall on May 25.
Fishermen have been advised not to venture into central and adjoining south Bay of Bengal from May 23 and into North Bay of Bengal from May 24 onwards.
They are advised to return to the coast before May 23.
