TRAINING FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED TEACHERS ON ACCESSIBLE TECHNOLOGY BEGINS
Bhubaneswar(16/08/2023): Orissa Association for Blind (OAB) and Youth4Jobs inaugurated a training programme for Visually Impaired Teachers on Accessible Technology on 15th August 2023 on the 77th Independence Day. The Training program will be for 30 days and 50 teachers from different districts of Odisha will participate with the residential facilities provided by OAB and Youth4Jobs.
This training will help of digital health, digital education through smart class room, and financial inclusion by effective use of mobile apps for online cash less financial transactions.
They will also be provided with practical knowledge and inside about the assistance of Daglocked and use of Ayusnman Bharat of health Account for storage of personal health information by the help of 5G technology.
The visually impaired teachers of both the special schools and inclusive Schools of Odisha for effective use of the Internet who minimize the limitation of their physical disability and to bridge the gap of digital divide between PWDS and Persons without Disabilities.
The Training program will directly and indirectly impact to 2500 beneficiary. The programme started with lightning of lamp.
The programme was inaugurated by the Governing Body and Management Staff of OAB.
OAB apprised the work of youth4Jobs and work of Meera Shenoy (Founder-CEO- Youth4Jobs Foundation).
From Youth4Jobs Mr Dusmanta Kumar Barik (Regional Manager) was present and explain about the training program and Youth4Jobs works in all across India.
Prachurya Pradhan( OFS, International Chess Player, Asian Para Games Silver Medalist) has deigned the course and joined the program on virtually and given his best wishes to all the . Sannyas Behera(President, OAB) has given thanking speech and motivated the trainers and training for the programme .
