West Bengal stops chicken import from Odisha
Bhubaneswar (26/08/2024): After bird flu was detected in Pipili in Puri district, West Bengal has stopped importing chickens from Odisha.
Within two days, the administration has culled more than 5,000 chickens in Pipili.
Farmers are growing restless as they haven't received compensation yet. After bird flu was detected in broiler chickens in Pipili block of Puri district, the West Bengal Poultry Federation has stopped importing chickens and chicken products from Odisha.
