XIM UNIVERSITY ORGANISES NATIONAL STUDENT MEDIA FEST CONCORDIA’ 23
Bhubaneswar(13/10/2023): On Wednesday, 11 October 2023, XIM University, renowned for its commitment to fostering creativity and innovation, organized Concordia 23, a national student media fest that brought together young talent from across the country.
The event featured five exciting competitions that showcased the diverse talents of the participants.
It was organized by the School of Communications, XIM University (new campus). The chief guest of the media fest Prof.Fr.Antony R Uvari, SJ, Vice-Chancellor, XIM University, was the most delighted to be there among so many young minds and extraordinary talents.
He acknowledged and thanked the entire team of students for their meticulous work in organizing this event.
Smriti Sweta Das, Managing Director, Eco Belleza- The Salon, shared her excitement and happiness for being invited to such a grand event.
She spoke about her journey inspiring everyone present at the fest.
Nishita Mohanty, Managing Director of Chappan Bhog Sweets, spoke about the importance of learning and creativity.
The event kicked off with the Conquer – an esports online tournament where gamers displayed their skills and strategic prowess in a battle to emerge as the ultimate champion.
The competition was fierce, with participants pushing their limits in a thrilling virtual battleground.
Next up was Dristi - the online reel-making competition, which witnessed students showcasing their cinematic storytelling abilities through short videos.
The audience was treated to a captivating array of stories, emotions, and creativity on the big screen.
In the musical domain, Tunetales provided a platform for talented singers to enchant the crowd with their melodious voices.
Participants hit the right notes and created an unforgettable musical experience for the audience.
Syncopia the dancing competition, was a rhythmic spectacle that featured incredible dance performances.
Dancers showcased their talent and passion, leaving the crowd in awe with their mesmerizing moves and synchronized routines.
For those with an eye for art and photography, Panorama offered a canvas to exhibit their photographic talents.
The competition displayed the beauty and depth of the world through the lenses of these young photographers. The event started with the welcoming address by Prof.V.Vijay Kumar, Dean, School of Communications, XIM University, ending with the prize distribution ceremony and vote of thanks by Prof.Nirmalya Baral, faculty coordinator, student’s activities committee, School of Communications, XIM University and a dance performance by the students.
Around 300 students participated in the event from the schools and colleges present in the country.
Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University’s Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), Bhubaneswar won the Concordia’ 23 overall championship.
