A Mega Blood Donation Camp Held at Balasore: 103 Students of CIPET-CSTS Donate Blood

Balasore, 02 August (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): A mega blood donation camp was held on Friday at the campus of CIPET-CSTS, Bamapada, on the outskirts of Balasore city, in collaboration with Sambad–Ama Odisha.
The camp was organized under the guidance of Director Khitin Kishore Mahapatra, and was inaugurated by Manager (T) Niharika Parida, who attended as the chief guest.
Prominent guests present on the occasion included Senior Technical Officer Dr. Irfan Ahmad Mir, District Blood Bank Officer Dr. Basanta Kumar Upadhyay, Uttam Barua, and Rahul Yadav, who appreciated CIPET-CSTS's contribution to building an Aatmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India). They highlighted the institution's role in shaping technically skilled youth through petrochemical education while also fostering social responsibility through community participation.
As part of this effort, the institution regularly hosts activities promoting environmental protection, cleanliness, International Yoga Day, and voluntary blood donation. The guests lauded the initiative.
Under the active coordination of Smrutiranjan Mishra and Snehasmita Lenka, the blood donation camp successfully collected 103 units of blood. The staff of Balasore District Blood Bank facilitated the blood collection, with support from Suryakanta Sahu, Shubham Nayak, Ajit Jena, Pitambar Nayak, Roopak Singh, Mir Yasmin, and Swagatika Mohanty.
The camp was managed and supported by Laxmidhar Barik, Sambad–Ama Odisha Coordinator for North Odisha.
