12-hour bandh affects normal life in Telkoi
Telkoi (27/08/2024): A 12-hour bandh is being observed in Telkoi of Keonjhar district on Tuesday. The Chakradhara Project Bandh Coordination Committee has called for the bandh in protest against the Samakoi-Chakradhara water project.
Due to the bandh, vehicular movement, educational institutions, and shops remained closed.
The protesters allege that if the project becomes operational, many areas of Telkoi will be submerged in water.
