ANDHRA TRAIN MISHAP: 26 TRAINS CANCELLED, SEVERAL OTHERS DIVERTED, RESCHEDULED
Bhubaneswar (30/10/2023): As many as 26 trains were cancelled, 22 diverted and 11 others partially cancelled following the major train mishap in Andhra Pradesh that claimed the lives of at least 13 people and left more than 50 others injured.
The collision between two trains happened between Alamanda and Kantakapalli stations on Andhra-Odisha border. Moreover, six trains were rescheduled. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister National Relief Fund for the next of kin of each deceased and Rs 50,000 for those injured in the mishap.
