Campaign to sensitize slum dwellers on gender-based violence

Bhubaneswar (25/112024): To mark the day ActionAid Association in collaboration with State level voluntary organisation named Centre for Child and Women Development & Bhubaneswar Young Urban Women Forum conducted Ranjoli & mass meeting under 16 days of activism against gender-based violence at Panda Park slum under ward No-14 of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation.

The objective of the drive was to stop gender discrimination at family level, and to reduce social exclusion and taboos and create a good environment for women and girls, said Sadasiv Swain, Secretary of CCWD.

Among others Snigdha Dash, Bhaskar Chandra Pradhan, Dipti Mayee Mallick spoke on this occasion.

Lastly Saraswati Parida proposed a warm vote of thanks to all.

More than 50 YUW members attended the programme.
