Music Launch of the Film ‘Shree Jagannathanka Nabakalebara’ Held in Puri Set to Release Nationwide on July 4

Bhubaneswar: The much-anticipated film ‘Shree Jagannathanka Nabakalebara’ is set to release released across India on Friday. Before the release, the entire team of artists and technicians, including the producer and director, arrived in Puri. They first took a holy dip in the sea and then prayed to Lord Jagannath, seeking forgiveness for any unintentional mistakes or inaccuracies that may have occurred during the making of the film.
Actor Anshuman, who played the role of Kalapahad in the film, personally sought forgiveness first at the feet of Lord Jagannath and then from the devotees and audience, for the atrocities committed by his character.
Following this, an open-air musical launch event was organized at Medical Square in Puri. The music was officially launched by the revered Guruji Chandrabhanu Satapathy.
The film's producer and director, Saubhagyalaxmi Jena (Bini), co-producer Dilip Kumar Jena, executive producer Pranaya Jethi, and actors such as Siddhanta Mahapatra, Sritam Das, Jyotiranjan Nayak, Suryamayee Mahapatra, Shibani Sangeeta, Pinky Pradhan, Anshuman, Kuna Tripathy, Pratibha Panda, Rushi Pattnaik, Shambhunath Khuntia, music director Malay Mishra, lyricist Dr. Nirmal Nayak, singers Ira Mohanty, Satyajit Pradhan, Antara Chakraborty, choreographers Bobby Islam and Jeetu Raut, and many others attended the event. Thousands of devotees and audience members gathered to cheer and support the cast and crew.
Presented by Sai Shraddha Tele Productions, ‘Shree Jagannathanka Nabakalebara’ marks Bini Samal’s directorial debut. One of the producers is Dilip Kumar Jena. Based on the glory of Lord Jagannath, this star-studded film took nearly three years of tireless effort from the artists and technicians to complete.
The cast includes Siddhanta, Suryamayee, Jyoti, Shibani, Sritam, Anshuman, Pinky Pradhan, Kuna Tripathy, Ashrumochan Mohanty, Pratibha Panda, Ravi Mishra, Kedar Mishra, Ratan Meher, Saheb Singh, Shankar, Priyanka Sahu, Rushi Pattnaik, Shambhunath Khuntia, among others.
The film is based on a popular play by Odisha Sahitya Akademi Award-winning playwright Shankar Tripathy. The music is composed by Malay Mishra and sung by Ira Mohanty, Satyajit Pradhan, Antara Chakraborty, and Satyabrata Sahu. The song ‘Jagatare Paibuni Emiti Thakur’ written by Dr. Nirmal Nayak has gone viral.
Interestingly, Guruji Chandrabhanu Satapathy has also contributed lyrics and composed music for two songs in the film. There are a total of seven songs, all of which are melodious and appealing. Choreography is done by Bobby Islam and Jeetu Raut. Cinematography is by Dhruvananda Panda and the visuals have been edited by Sukumar Mani. The film’s publicity head is Haraprasad Mahapatra.
The movie has been released in nearly 100 theaters across India and is distributed by Prakash Films.
