Two hotels sealed in Cuttack for operating in unhygenic conditions

Cuttack (By Abhishek Mohanty): The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) officials on Tuesday sealed two hotels in near Cuttack Railway Station for allegedly operating in unhygenic conditions.
During inspection, it was found that the water used for cooking and cleaning purposes failed to meet the basic standards. Besides, stale food items were stored in kitchens of establishments.
The raids were conducted by the CMC and Food Safety officials as part of their effort to prevent transmission of diarrhoea and cholera during the monsoon season. Food samples were collected for laboratory analysis.
The quality of water and food items were inspected at several eateries and food stalls near the station.
