CSIR-IMMT ORGANISES AYURVEDA CAMP ON AYURVEDA DAY
Bhubaneswar(09/11/2023): CSIR-IMMT (Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology), Bhubaneswar, observed 8th Ayurveda Day, which was followed by a transformative Ayurveda Camp, on November 9, 2023 at SS Bhatnagar Hall.
The theme of the event was “Ayurveda – FOR ONE HEALTH”.
Dr.M.M.Rao, Director of the Central Ayurveda Research Institute, attended the event as the Chief Guest.
The event aimed at imparting the knowledge and wisdom of Ayurveda and ways to adopt it for a healthier and happier life. The audience was addressed by Dr.N.K Dhal, Head E&S Department, CSIR-IMMT, who delivered the welcome speech.
He thanked the audience and said, “We are here to discuss about Ayurveda.
This is the one medicine which we are pretty sure that would work properly in every situation.
Government also suggested about ayurvedic treatment during Covid Pandemic and in other situations.
Everyone should be habituated with Ayurvedic medicine for being healthier”. The chief guest Dr.M.M.Rao, CARI, Bhubaneswar, also delivered a speech stating, “Humans can be affected by plants and animals and also by soil.
So we should maintain every natural entity like animals, soil, plants, and atmosphere to make human beings healthier.
We are here with the concept of 'Ayurveda for one health', which is based on taking care of plants, animals, nature, and humans equally.
We organize various types of awareness camps in tribal areas.
Our institute provides various types of therapy and we have an OPD for all public”. The programme was conclude with the vote of thanks by Dr.M.G.Sujana, Chairman of the Health Committee.
After that an Ayurveda Wellness Camp held at CSIR-IMMT that included consultation with proficient Ayurveda doctors, free distribution of Ayurvedic medicines, free blood tests, free distribution of medicinal plants and a thorough Swasthya analysis (Nadi Parikhya) providing insight into one’s well-being and a healthier lifestyle.
Apart from the chief guest, the staff members and their families, contractual members of CSIR-IMMT, students and project fellows were also invited to attend the program.
