ODISHA FOOD PROCESSING CONCLAVE, EXPO & INDUSTRY MEET BY MOFPI AND PHDCCI MODERATED BY B-SCHOOL FORUM
Bhubaneswar(07/09/2023): The PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PHDCCI) in association with Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India organized Odisha Food Processing Conclave, Expo & Industry Meet on September 4 and 5, 2023 in Bhubaneshwar. The program was inaugurated by Dr.Arun Kumar Rath, retired IAS , Chairman IIPA, Jitendra Kumar, Director – MoFPI, Surendra Singh, Joint Industrial Advisor, MoFPI, Frts.Gautam Mohanty, Founder President, B-School Forum and Mili Dubey, Director – Agri & Food Processing Committee – PHDCCI. PHDCCI also organised concurrent Expo where 28 Industry members including PMFME beneficiaries from Odisha displayed their unique products during the expo. On the first day two technical sessions took place after an inaugural session.
The first technical session was dedicated for Export, Marketing and Logistics.
This session was addressed by S K Mandal-Regional Head Kolkata, APEDA, Archiman Lahiri-Deputy Director MPEDA, S K Chatterjee-SMM, IFFCO, Frts.Gautam Mohanty-Founder President, B-School Forum Knowledge Centre (Moderator) and T Badrinarayan-Joint Director of Industries, Odisha. The second technical session was dedicated for Industry meet.
It was an interactive session.
This session was addressed by Jitendra Kumar, Director – MoFPI, Surendra Singh, Joint Industrial Advisor, MoFPI, Mili Dubey, Director – Agri & Food Processing Committee – PHDCCI and Harshita Joshi from Invest India. Panel members took many questions from industry and tried to solve as many issues as possible.
Panel members also gave a presentation on World Food India Expo which is taking place in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from September 03 to 05 November 2023. The first day of the program was concluded by vote of thanks from Pranab Singh – Resident Director, PHDCCI. The program was attended by more than 240 food processing manufacturers, FPOs, Govt officials, Media, Academia and other relevant industry players. This program has been widely covered in local print & electronic media. The 2nd day of the program focused on the Pre and Post Harvesting and Startup ecosystem in the Food Processing sector.
