Balasore, 14/8 (Krishna Kumar Mohanty): At 8 a.m. today, the students and faculty members of Fakir Mohan Autonomous College organized a grand Tri-Colour March from the college premises as part of the government-sponsored “Har Ghar Tiranga” programme.

The procession started from the main campus of the college, passed through Station Square and Police Lines, and then returned to the college. More than 500 students, over 100 faculty members, and staff of the college participated, making the march a grand success.

The march was led by College Principal Feroz Kumar Padhi, while Dr. Abhijit Das, Head of the Commerce Department, coordinated the event. The police administration, district traffic police, and staff of the District Headquarters Hospital extended full support as needed.

The District Culture Department provided 500 tri-colour flags for the event. As a symbol of national unity and the glorious spirit of independence, a massive 100-metre-long tri-colour, provided by the college, was proudly carried by the students during the march.
